'THE BUS' MOBILE YOUTH CENTRE, BICESTER

The bus project was a series of workshops with young people from The Courtyard Art Centre.

We worked with the Young people to create ideas and designs culminating in a huge piece of artwork used on the outside of a mobile youth centre, 'the bus'.

The bus had been bought and refitted to provide a better mobile youth centre for the young people of Bicester. The project brief was to 'design an image for the outside, which would attract young people to get on the bus'.

YOUTH INCLUSION PROGRAMME (YIP) - FOREST GATE

Art workshops and graffiti demonstration.

The young people at the Forest Gate Youth Inclusion Program (YIP) learnt about graffiti fonts and alphabet lettering and the history of graffiti. Each then created a design on their own T-Shirts and participated in creating a mural which was displayed in the youth centre.




SCHOOL WORKSHOPS - ISLINGTON ARTS AND MEDIA SCHOOL (IAMS), LONDON

3 day Children's Urban Art project

The task was to demonstrate to the pupils of IAMS the different techniques that can be used to create street art pieces and explore the different styles of painting.

We produced panels based on the theme of ‘sporting achievement’ that were installed in the school gym.





YOUTH SHELTER PROJECT - BURE PARK, BICESTER

We spent one week delivering a series of art workshops with young people from Bicester, Oxfordshire.

Some of these workshops included:

  • Research initial ideas for the project with a team feedback session
  • Design artwork to be used on a mural for 'the young people’s shelter' in Bure Park
  • Aerosol Art: - How to use aerosols, skills, styles and techniques
  • Health and safety when using aerosols







COMMUNITY MURAL - LANDFIELD ESTATE HACKNEY, LONDON

Mural completed with young people in Hackney, London.

We worked with 20 young people from the Landfield estate for 2 weeks, from the initial sketch to the finished mural.
All of the young people involved were given the Hackney Youth Award for the participation in this project.




URBAN ART DISPLAY - HORNCHURCH, ESSEX

Youth Club Mural

Working together with young people from Royals youth club, Rainham in Essex, we created an art display to advertise the Urban Vibes day in Romford. This project was supported by: Havering borough council.

CUSTOMISED T-SHIRT, CANVAS AND MURAL PROJECT - ESSEX

Customised clothing and painting workshops

A series of workshops at The Albermarle Youth Project in Harold Hill.This project was funded by: Havering Borough Council. We worked for 3 weeks with local young people producing hand painted customised T-Shirts and Denim, canvases and a mural painted on a goods container. All of this work was produced to celebrate Urban Vibes day.





SUBSTANCE MISUSE WORKSHOPS - RAINHAM, ESSEX

Art workshops at Royals youth club in Rainham, Essex.

The project was based on substance misuse, all of the young people involved produced painted canvases based on their personal experiences. All of the work produced was shown at The Urban Vibes day.







MURAL PAINTING PROJECT - RE:ACTION YOUTH ARTS FESTIVAL, BICESTER

Aerosol painting for a community festival

This project was run in collaboration with The OYAP Trust, organisors of the RE:ACTION Youth Arts Festival, and artists from Art Workshops UK. The young people involved produced a series of large painted canvas boards, which were used as backdrops for the Re:Action Youth Arts Festival.





LARGE SCALE COMMUNITY MURAL - SUNBURY CROSS

Community mural project

This project took place in Sunbury Cross, commissioned by Spelthorne Borough Council. The 150 ft mural, located in a public underpass was designed and painted by local young people after a series of workshops where the children undertook historical research about the Sunbury Cross area.

Creative workshops in Enfield

100 young people take part in one week of Graffiti art, DJing, Street Dance, How to be a model, African drumming and film making workshops.
